In the 4th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ruperto Quintan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Montenegro in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruperto Quintan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleiton Brasil in the 36th minute of the match. Felix Montes struck a weak shot in the 37th minute.
