Caballo Loco's supporters crossed their fingers, but German Toro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Toro in the 15th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Luis Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Caballo Loco's Hugo Umbruso got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Pan Song Yong sent off a good shot on target. Caballo Loco's German Toro got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. German Toro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ulises Abilio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caballo Loco's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulises Abilio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 44 played minutes Caballo Loco got a freekick which was hit by Pan Song Yong. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 55th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentino Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. After 57 minutes, Hugo Umbruso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caballo Loco and the El Salvador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Caballo Loco's Hugo Umbruso got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 59 minutes of play, Caballo Loco's Pan Song Yong made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luis Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Pan Song Yong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caballo Loco's Pan Song Yong got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caballo Loco's Ulises Abilio got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Abram Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caballo Loco's goalkeeper Luís das Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Valentino Ferrant fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Valentino Ferrant a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Caballo Loco booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentino Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Tamayo hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Song Yong came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caballo Loco's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
