German Toro started the match with the kick off. German Toro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Caballo Loco got a freekick which was hit by Leon Oriol. Luís das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Fernandino in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Alfredo Ferrant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Caballo Loco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Abilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute German Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Toro in the 35th minute of play. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Bolivia from getting a goal against them. Pan Song Yong struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Camilo Freixa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caballo Loco. Pan Song Yongs short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Camilo Freixa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Julio Chicote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Fontirroig. After some careless play in the Bolivia defense, Pan Song Yong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Freixa. The Bolivia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Freixa should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Pan Song Yong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Alfonso de la Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bolivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caballo Loco the free kick. Alfonso de la Cruz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. When Alfonso de la Cruz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. In the 60th match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso de la Cruz to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Bolivia defense, German Toro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Freixa. The Bolivia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Freixa should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the game, Caballo Loco's Ulises Abilio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Freixa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 69 played minutes Caballo Loco got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Umbruso. Luís das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Ferrant in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Bolivia got a corner. Caballo Loco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mario Fernandino ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bolivia's Mario Fernandino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luís das Neves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Bolivia's zone, German Toro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Freixa came out of the goal and German Toro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Ulises Abilio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caballo Loco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulises Abilio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th match minute, Caballo Loco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Jakobe to maneuver through the defense.
