If Rein van Steensel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Russ Bull charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Russ Bull the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Zijdewind SC defense, Russ Bull kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Meyer. The Zijdewind SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Meyer should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rein van Steensel in the 78th minute of play forced Cabo Frio's goalkeeper Jeferson Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Cabo Frio's protests and gave Frédson Leite a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Zijdewind SC booed when Cabo Frio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rein van Steensel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeferson Gaúcho having to interfere. Cabo Frio's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
