When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonio Michael made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcus Allbäck scored 1-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antonio Michael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benny Bur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Many of Peru's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peru may have spent more time on the ball, but Sledgehammer KO were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
