The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Francesco Totti took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Federico Jaizki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chile's Alan Tamayo got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 4th minute of the match Mario Joseph sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego skillfully saved the ball. After 6 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mario Joseph who took care of the corner kick. Mario Joseph made a great header on Los Mega's corner, it was just that Chile's Thiago Pliego managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Hieronim Siwy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mario Joseph was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Mega's players had a chance to rest. Los Mega's Federico Jaizki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Los Mega from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Calvet in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Calvet in the 89th minute of play. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Chile booed when Los Mega was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Abeitia didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Los Mega's Federico Jaizki got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
