Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arkadiusz Tarasek kicked off to start the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedykt Drzewucki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 9th minute of play. Benedykt Drzewucki came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Arkadiusz Tarasek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sparta Torex's supporters rose to their feet, but Arkadiusz Tarasek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remigiusz Juszkowski got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 27 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. Andrzej Cwojdak did an outstanding performance 29 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Jonathan Ferrant in the goal. In the 34th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedykt Drzewucki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Benedykt Drzewucki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedykt Drzewucki was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benedykt Drzewucki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ryszard Witwicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Venezuela were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
