Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Magno das Neves started the match with the kick off. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the match, Bem Bolado's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but José Maria Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Maria Branco. José Maria Branco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 12th minute, Leopoldo Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Magno das Neves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. José Maria Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bem Bolado's Carlos Augusto Neto got a free kick in the 31st minute. Cláudio Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Mandrak's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Mandrak helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bem Bolado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelinho do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Bem Bolado's Magno das Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Magno das Neves struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bem Bolado. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magno das Neves in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. José Maria Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's José Maria Branco threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. José Maria Branco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, José Maria Branco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Magno das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bem Bolado's supporters rose to their feet, but Magno das Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
