After having played for 4 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute of the match, Mao Yuan Hong tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vladimiro Leão came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in CSD Pte Derqui's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Leão came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Demesio in the 16th minute of the match. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by CSD Pte Derqui's Mao Yuan Hong. But to his dismay, Mao Yuan Hong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ignacio Nayely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vladimiro Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Vladimiro Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mao Yuan Hong struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSD Pte Derqui. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimiro Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Benjamin Tadzio kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Angelo Demesio could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. 45 minutes into the match, CSD Pte Derqui's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Vladimiro Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47thth minute of the game Angelo Demesio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. With a little luck, CSD Pte Derqui's Vladimiro Leão got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Vladimiro Leão in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Mao Yuan Hong managed to get in a good position for a shot. CSD Pte Derqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Mao Yuan Hong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mao Yuan Hong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mao Yuan Hong in the 59th minute of play. Mao Yuan Hong took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After having played for 62 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Vladimiro Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Vladimiro Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 88th minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Demesio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Angelo Demesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
