Müfit Totuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, NiğdeBeşiktaş's Yunus Yamaner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raşit Sırat was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Resul Erentürk, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute of the match Özalp Cezlan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Müfit Totuk in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Resul Erentürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. NiğdeBeşiktaş's Müfit Totuk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save NiğdeBeşiktaş from getting a goal against them. Yunus Yamaner hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raşit Sırat in the 94th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, NiğdeBeşiktaş could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
