After 4 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. When Oliver-James Gol came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Someliéri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver-James Gol couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Argi Villar in the 9th minute of the match. Oliver-James Gol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giotis Michailidis in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 13 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. 18 minutes into the match, Giotis Michailidis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oliver-James Gol made a great header on Someliéri's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. If Giotis Michailidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Someliéri's Argi Villar managed to work through Venezuela's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Argi Villar dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giotis Michailidis went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Argi Villar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giotis Michailidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Giotis Michailidis came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tibor Slaninka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas scored 2-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edvin van der Saar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Oliver-James Gol shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Giotis Michailidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Someliéri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giotis Michailidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Someliéri's Argi Villar. But to his dismay, Argi Villar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 80th minute Someliéri were awarded a corner. Oliver-James Gol went to the cornerflag to take it. Someliéri's Giotis Michailidis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Someliéri made a substitution. Tomáš Kolek replaced Tibor Slaninka. When Someliéri's Giotis Michailidis in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Giotis Michailidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giotis Michailidis in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Someliéri.
