Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Ege Devlettin having to interfere. Ali Behzat Gündoğan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gábor Szénási received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Ege Devlettin having to interfere. Ahmet Ege Devlettin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Ingrosso. A nice corner shot did that Radamel-Falcao Guz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 42nd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Ege Devlettin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute, Ali Behzat Gündoğan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Behzat Gündoğan couldn't finish the play. After having played for 68 minutes, Gábor Szénási managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ANADOLU ATEŞİ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gábor Szénási was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
