Obregón Arrizabalaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Obregón Arrizabalaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from J.P. Hauge, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Julio Vera was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and J.P. Hauge capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. J.P. Hauge really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. J.P. Hauge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Chancleta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Bang didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 46th minute of play forced Chancleta SC's goalkeeper Obregón Arrizabalaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Obregón Arrizabalaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 48th minute of the match. The Chancleta SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Guerrero Usel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chancleta SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guerrero Usel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
