The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Serdar Ergün's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Savaş Honazlı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deep Diving Eagles CF reached it. After 27 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Nafiz İmran in the 30th minute. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Serdar Ergün kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Abram Luque hit a great ball. If Abram Luque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nuh Raif kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Mateo Leguizamo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Savaş Honazlı. Deep Diving Eagles CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Savaş Honazlı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Savaş Honazlı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Luque in the 61st minute of the match. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute Serdar Ergün shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
