The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peru were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Olympique Gdynia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Moises Gayoso drilling the ball in to score 1-2 behind Olympique Gdynia's goalkeeper. 30 minutes into the match, Olympique Gdynia's goal looked a bit too open when Milagros Fraga came free, but Tanek Ostrowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şota Arveladze. Tanek Ostrowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian Bobeanu in the 40th minute. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şota Arveladze's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Bobeanu got free with Rolando Noboa in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Olympique Gdynia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Peru's Alonso Berganza to fire away a dangerous shot which Tanek Ostrowski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tanek Ostrowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 55th minute of the match. Jurand Frankowski hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the game, Olympique Gdynia's Şota Arveladze nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The throw-in from Charles Darwin in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
