After having played for 17 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gaspar Peseiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Patricio Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Cabildo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Patricio Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 34th minute. Cabildo FC's Patricio Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 39th minute of play. After 41 minutes Cabildo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cabildo FC's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cabildo FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cabildo FC's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Toledo came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henry Åkesson took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Patricio Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Patricio Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henry Åkesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Henry Åkesson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Cabildo FC's Patricio Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Cabildo FC from getting a goal against them. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Patricio Toledo quite easily take care of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Cabildo FC's goalkeeper Patricio Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 86th match minute, Cabildo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remicio Bueno to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Toledo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 91 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cabildo FC.
