Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frederico Hendrickx took the kick off in the first half of the match. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ray Clemence read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Wilson Seco made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Ray Clemence didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico Hendrickx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederico Hendrickx in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lilcho Ilchov in the 18th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Samai Asmawan came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes PHOENIX SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray Clemence prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 34 minutes PHOENIX SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. 37 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Hendrickx came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute of the match PHOENIX SC got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Phoenix Kante ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to PHOENIX SC's Samai Asmawan getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lilcho Ilchov in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, PHOENIX SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samai Asmawan to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Eliseo Mina hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Hendrickx in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half PHOENIX SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ray Clemence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samai Asmawan in the 53rd minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samai Asmawan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ray Clemence was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joaquin Prats was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 68 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Peru's Joaquin Prats got a free kick in the 69th minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Hendrickx in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Milagros Fraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederico Hendrickx in the 74th minute. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. After 91 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Alvarado. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched PHOENIX SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
