Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ted Almstedt started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Erik Åhlberg having to interfere. Ted Almstedt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Almstedt in the 17th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthias Lundin's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthias Lundin helped the player get up and apologised. Runa United:s Nils-Erik Åhlberg showed great skill when he stopped Daniel Zorita:s penalty. Daniel Zorita did an outstanding performance 25 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-0 to the right of an irritated Nils-Erik Åhlberg in the goal. After a rather tough play, Runa United's Bo Eriksson got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Ecuador's Antonio Arias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sivert Rönn in the 35 minute of the game. If Ted Almstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nils-Erik Åhlberg having to make a save. Ted Almstedt struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Runa United. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Almstedt in the 54th minute of play. Julio Vera was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Ted Almstedt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ted Almstedt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Nils-Erik Åhlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Harry Boumans made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 77th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Runa United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Harry Boumans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristian Sancho scored 2-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nils-Erik Åhlberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nils-Erik Åhlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Boumans came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Andreasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
