FC Bansko's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 16 minutes, Ivan Toromanov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bansko and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitar Vetzov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitar Vetzov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitar Vetzov having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Paun Atkov notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. 66 minutes into the match, FC Bansko's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Dimitar Vetzov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venko Petrov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimitar Vetzov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Bansko's Beloslav Beykov got a free kick in the 88th minute. FC Bansko's Dimitar Vetzov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 89th minute of play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Bansko throughout the match.
