Meelis Vananurm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Carballar in the 8th minute of play forced ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's goalkeeper Meelis Vananurm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's Meelis Vananurm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 15th minute of play. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st minute Guillermo Fontirroig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meelis Vananurm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21stth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's Meelis Vananurm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meelis Vananurm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Abreu in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Justin in the 28th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Indiano was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chile fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 31 minutes, ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's Marcin Wasilewski got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Thiago Pliego. Lindi Mena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Carballar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erubiel Justin was the one to do the kick off. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon Pontes in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's goalkeeper Meelis Vananurm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Casaus. In the 60th minute Marcelo Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Pontes in the 63rd minute of the match. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Justin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 66 minutes of play, ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's Marcelo Abreu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Orlando Casaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Meelis Vananurm made a huge save. In the 70th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Lacasa to maneuver through the defense. Marcin Wasilewski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thiago Pliego. Chile's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's Meelis Vananurm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, Guillermo Fontirroig notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's Meelis Vananurm. Meelis Vananurm was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Meelis Vananurm made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
