Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Colombia's Abram Sarmiento started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Joep Ponk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ágætis Byrjun fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Nick Heesen tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ágætis Byrjun's Joep Ponk in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colombia's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 10 minutes, Nick Heesen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nick Heesen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Georg Hagberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abram Sarmiento scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Georg Hagberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ágætis Byrjun's goalie prevented a goal. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manolo Bartumeu, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Ágætis Byrjun's Alejandro dos Santos got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Georg Hagberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Georg Hagberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Georg Hagberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 29th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Nick Heesen sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the game, Joep Ponk lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Pedro Manzanares. After some careless play in the Ágætis Byrjun defense, Santino Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Hagberg. The Ágætis Byrjun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Hagberg should have stopped the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Joep Ponk made the kick off in the second half. Kevin Mastache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Axel Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Georg Hagberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Georg Hagberg made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th match minute, Ágætis Byrjun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joep Ponk to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Nick Heesen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Gert van den Bergh replaced Joep Ponk. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. 70 minutes into the game, Nick Heesen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nick Heesen's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Georg Hagberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Kevin Mastache went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ditlev Delmont in the 80th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Navarro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, one of Colombia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Colombia. After 87 minutes of play, Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! 90 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Georg Hagberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Ágætis Byrjun's Gert van den Bergh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-2. 96 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Georg Hagberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santino Seco in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georg Hagberg saved Ágætis Byrjun from getting behind. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
