Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joel Gaona kicked off to start the match. Staniša Šorgić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 14th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 15th minute. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Staniša Šorgić quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thornhill City's Oscar-Alfredo Ruggeri managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 18 minute of the game. 19 minutes into the match, Thornhill City's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Staniša Šorgić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Thornhill City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sima Ignjatović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Staniša Šorgić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 35th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staniša Šorgić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Staniša Šorgić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Thornhill City's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Staniša Šorgić came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Thornhill City's goalkeeper Staniša Šorgić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Thornhill City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Macos Graciani made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Thornhill City's Staniša Šorgić managed to reach the ball for a save. 55 minutes into the match, Thornhill City's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Staniša Šorgić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thornhill City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Lautaro Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Staniša Šorgić, making the score, 1-1. Staniša Šorgić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Staniša Šorgić made a huge save. In the 80th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Staniša Šorgić threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 88th minute, Luca Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Thornhill City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Staniša Šorgić in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Staniša Šorgić made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Thornhill City's Draža Milentijević got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Thornhill City fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
