With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Jacobo Santxol tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victor Bazkoare was slow to take the kick. During this time Rivermania FC's players had a chance to rest. Rivermania FC were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victor Bazkoare took the corner. In the 19th minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jacobo Santxol fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rivermania FC's Erasmo Lorencio got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Bruninho Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 31st minute of the game was made by Amado Cuartio with 叶翀文 as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Erasmo Lorencio sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Rivermania FC's Rosendo Flor got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Erasmo Lorencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Rosendo Flor came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Rivermania FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Flor couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Abuy Husodo in the 52nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abuy Husodo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Rosendo Flor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosendo Flor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Erasmo Lorencio scored 4-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Flor came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Flor, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Rivermania FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 74th minute. Rivermania FC made a substitution. Ana Tatangelo replaced Erasmo Lorencio. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abuy Husodo in the 87th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rosendo Flor's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. With a little luck, Rivermania FC's Severino Hulberto got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 5-0 became the score in the 94th minute when Rosendo Flor elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rivermania FC fully deserved thier win.
