Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nino Schurter kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 9th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Gregor Kobel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Gregor Kobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Espen Steelers defense, Edward Mcdonald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregor Kobel. The Espen Steelers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregor Kobel should have stopped the shot. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nino Schurter in the 17th minute of play. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alain Berset, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Williams Imholz got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes Espen Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Paul Klee. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cassius Byrne in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregor Kobel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gregor Kobel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match USA got a corner. Espen Steelers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nino Schurter in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 34th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Gregor Kobel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Klee in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Stan Wawrinka got a free kick in the 41st minute. Nino Schurter hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Berset in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Gregor Kobel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monty Rogers went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gregor Kobel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 54th minute. If Alberto Giacometti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Monty Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Monty Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregor Kobel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Gregor Kobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of USA booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Klee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Espen Steelers's Rogelio Montez was substituted for Alain Berset. Espen Steelers's Roman Beljean was substituted for Alberto Giacometti. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Campbell got free with Gregor Kobel in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Espen Steelers's Tobie Canclini was substituted for Ingo Minder. The throw-in from Jacob May in the 71st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Espen Steelers's Paul Klee. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. With a little luck, Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel got control of the ball when Sam Campbell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rogelio Montez went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Jenson Smith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After taking down the ball on USA's corner Jenson Smith fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gregor Kobel quite easily take care of the ball. USA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
