Jose Sanz made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vanderslaike FC's Tony Paraibano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 13th minute of play forced Vanderslaike FC's goalkeeper Anier Sayvion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Anier Sayvion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes Paraguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Naldo Fonseca who took care of the corner kick. The throw-in from Naldo Fonseca in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraguay's Jaime Pardo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Vanderslaike FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Jose Sanz had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Décio Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Erivaldo Pereira fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vanderslaike FC's protests and gave Erivaldo Pereira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Vanderslaike FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball.
