When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for 柳桑银 to make any attempt to save it. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 柳桑银 having to interfere. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Velicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 柳桑银 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 94th minute of the match. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
