In the 3rd minute, Ladislao Harriet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Empire of Soccer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Steen Müür showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavlos Galanopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavlos Galanopoulos in the 7th minute of play forced De hijgende Hertjes's goalkeeper Steen Müür to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steen Müür came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Empire of Soccer's Pavlos Galanopoulos. But to his dismay, Pavlos Galanopoulos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 10 played minutes De hijgende Hertjes got a freekick which was hit by Valeh Cerda. After 11 minutes of play, Empire of Soccer's Ladislao Harriet made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steen Müür was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in De hijgende Hertjes's zone, Xanthos Fikias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steen Müür came out of the goal and Xanthos Fikias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ladislao Harriet in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steen Müür saved De hijgende Hertjes from getting behind. Ladislao Harriet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steen Müür read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The corner led Empire of Soccer's Xanthos Fikias to fire away a dangerous shot which Steen Müür despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Teukros Diplarakos notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of De hijgende Hertjes's Steen Müür. Steen Müür was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Steen Müür showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Harriet in the 22nd minute of the match. Edvaldo Branco made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Teukros Diplarakos however managed to control. The tension between the De hijgende Hertjes and the Empire of Soccer players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, De hijgende Hertjes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by King Sputore to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, De hijgende Hertjes's goal looked a bit too open when Pavlos Galanopoulos came free, but Steen Müür reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernán Grana made in the 45th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Teukros Diplarakos however managed to control. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Empire of Soccer booed when De hijgende Hertjes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Koole didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute of the match, Ladislao Harriet got a very nice opportunity to score, but Steen Müür was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 93rd minute, Ladislao Harriet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steen Müür made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Ladislao Harriet sent off a good shot on target. Empire of Soccer's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
