El Torero's Sergio Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiaguinho Cestarolli in the 37th minute of play. In the 45th minute of the match Jefferson de Mendonça sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sergio Goycochea skillfully saved the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Barrionuevo made a kick off. Tiaguinho Cestarolli came free with the goalkeeper in the 50th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sergio Goycochea could save by the left post. Tiaguinho Cestarolli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Goycochea having to interfere. Cestarolli FC's Reynaldo Cestarolli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Barrionuevo in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, El Torero's Carlos Alberto Marquez got a free kick in the 91st minute. Marek Pruss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
