Cestarolli FC were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after El Torero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jefferson de Mendonça took the corner. Abdelbassir Cestarolli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Goycochea having to make a save. Sergio Goycochea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelbassir Cestarolli, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Tiaguinho Cestarolli came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sergio Goycochea could save by the left post. The supporters of El Torero booed when Cestarolli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justinas Aleknavičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Torero's Carlos Egoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reynaldo Cestarolli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Marquez in the 39th minute of play. When Carlos Alberto Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the El Torero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Alberto Marquez couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Eduardo Barrionuevo made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes El Torero got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Furman. El Torero made a substitution. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelbassir Cestarolli in the 83rd minute of play forced El Torero's goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Torero's goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Torero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
