In the 4th minute, Fermin Dolfo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Junta De Los Rios CF's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Dolfo came free, but Amuruza Lillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Marcos Valdivia threw the ball into play from the sideline. Yalapa's Ramon Herrera quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Amuruza Lillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Dolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rdth minute of the game Fermin Dolfo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Junta De Los Rios CF's Amuruza Lillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Yalapa got a corner. Junta De Los Rios CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olaf Gall ran over to the corner to take the kick. Olaf Gall was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Olaf Gall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mané Balcells received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Basri İhtiyar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute of the match Yalapa got a corner. Junta De Los Rios CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olaf Gall ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tarmo Helm kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Amarante Gibert kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After 48 played minutes Junta De Los Rios CF got a freekick which was hit by Amarante Gibert. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fermin Dolfo was the one to do the kick off. Junta De Los Rios CF's Amarante Gibert got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Cristo Izel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Yalapa's Fermin Dolfo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amuruza Lillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yalapa's Basri İhtiyar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Carballido in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute Fermin Dolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amuruza Lillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Carballido in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basri İhtiyar saved Yalapa from getting behind. Yalapa's Basri İhtiyar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Balcells in the 67th minute of play. Basri İhtiyar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amarante Gibert in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basri İhtiyar saved Yalapa from getting behind. In the 75th minute Celestino Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basri İhtiyar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Ricardo Carballido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basri İhtiyar. Yalapa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Carballido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Yalapa made a substitution. Samuel Tome replaced Faustino Dimo. Yalapa's Basri İhtiyar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amarante Gibert in the 82nd minute of play. Amuruza Lillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Junta De Los Rios CF's Amuruza Lillo got control of the ball when Samuel Tome tried to sneak it across the goal line. The attack was good, but when Leonardo Nogueira in the 86th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Tome in the 88th minute of play forced Junta De Los Rios CF's goalkeeper Amuruza Lillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Leonardo Nogueira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Amuruza Lillo. The goal made the score 1-2. A collision led to Yalapa getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Leonardo Nogueira hit a great ball. Basri İhtiyar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amarante Gibert in the 95th minute of the match. The Yalapa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yalapa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
