Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bertil Ekman started the match with the kick off. Dick Wennerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The supporters of White Hart Lane booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Bertil Ekman sent off a good shot on target. White Hart Lane's Lennart Blomquist got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Bertil Ekman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Bertil Ekman tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Lennart Blomquist put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 22 minutes into the game, Knut Backman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. White Hart Lane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bertil Ekman scored 3-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Ekman in the 28th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bertil Ekman in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. A collision led to White Hart Lane getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Olle Ekström hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esbjörn Apelquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in White Hart Lane's zone, Joshua Secada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esbjörn Apelquist came out of the goal and Joshua Secada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lennart Blomquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 52nd minute of play forced White Hart Lane's goalkeeper Esbjörn Apelquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to White Hart Lane getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Magnus Gallberg hit a great ball. Lennart Blomquist took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Esbjörn Apelquist in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Magnus Gallberg made in the 68th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Dick Wennerberg immediately put the ball in play. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Supreme Back was slow to take the kick. During this time White Hart Lane's players had a chance to rest. Rigoberto Mina thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jonathan Ferrant, a very annoying self made goal in the 71st minute which led to 5-1. Esbjörn Apelquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Esbjörn Apelquist made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute Bertil Ekman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Ekman came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esbjörn Apelquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute Dick Wennerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute Bertil Ekman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the White Hart Lane players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
