If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, Henley Utd's Richarlison de Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richarlison de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Edvin Jonsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. 29 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvin Jonsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Julian Murillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edvin Jonsson. That made the score 2-1 in the 32 minute of play. In the 37th minute, Elmer Hodžić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Henley Utd's goalkeeper Edvin Jonsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Tejedor. In the 40th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henley Utd's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Julian Murillo 44 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Henley Utd's Edvin Jonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of play. In the 51st minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Edvin Jonsson. Henley Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Bergsten in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Henley Utd's Edvin Jonsson. Edvin Jonsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvin Jonsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicola van Bommel during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
