With a little luck, Kania Gostyń's Boruc Furgal got control of the ball when Monty Rogers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edward Mcdonald struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Boruc Furgal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. 16 minutes into the game, Wiktor Falkiewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Wiktor Falkiewicz came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiktor Falkiewicz in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Wiktor Falkiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. 22 minutes in the game, Wiktor Falkiewicz dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Wnukowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Jenson Smith hit a great ball. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiktor Falkiewicz in the 39th minute of play.

The wind increased when Wiktor Falkiewicz made the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adam Wnukowski who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Kania Gostyń's Adam Wnukowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Wiktor Falkiewicz could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Marco Day however easily saved by the left post. In the 62nd minute Edward Mcdonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boruc Furgal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konstanty Domalik in the 82nd minute. Konstanty Domalik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Boruc Furgal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Campbell in the 88th minute of play. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see USA lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
