After 25 played minutes, Peru's Luz Tejedor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dagoberto Zonta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Peru reached it. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by ②Θ►LΘCΘ◄Θ⑨'s Paulo Baldaia. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Baldaia made a kick off. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Paulo Baldaia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa.
