Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Julian Murillo made the kick off and thus started the match. Joaquin Prats kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Wargön's Mikael Liberatore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sören Tunberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 20th minute of play forced Wargön's goalkeeper Sören Tunberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Liberatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Wargön defense, Eliseo Mina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sören Tunberg. The Wargön fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sören Tunberg should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of play forced Wargön's goalkeeper Sören Tunberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sören Tunberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Liberatore in the 42nd minute of play. Mikael Liberatore did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Rolando Noboa 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mikael Liberatore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Wargön got a freekick which was hit by Roger Stephansson. The crowd rose to their feet as Julian Murillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sören Tunberg. That made the score 3-2 in the 58 minute of play. In the 62nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Tunberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wargön's Nils-Arne Nilsson was substituted for Iwan Czeberowski. Wargön's Ivar Siöberg was substituted for Mikael Liberatore. The supporters of Peru booed when Wargön was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Stephansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Wargön's goalkeeper Sören Tunberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Bayan Baye managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wargön's supporters rose to their feet, but Bayan Baye was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. In the 83rd minute of the match, Milagros Fraga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sören Tunberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sören Tunberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Alvarado to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 92 minutes, Bayan Baye managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wargön's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bayan Baye was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wargön's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
