Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Negara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Gustaw Rasialdo made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alexandru Tudorică. In the 20th minute of the game Kacper Štilić made a throw-in which Gustaw Rasialdo played forward. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Negara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of the match. Rovine Craiova's Victor Negara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 25th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Kacper Štilić charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kacper Štilić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Peru booed when Rovine Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kacper Štilić didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victor Negara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 67 played minutes Rovine Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Tilihoi. Victor Negara was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luz Tejedor. Victor Negara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaw Rasialdo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Frunză in the 72nd minute of play. With a little luck, Rovine Craiova's Victor Negara got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Tudorică, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute of the game Kacper Štilić made a throw-in which Manole Frunză played forward. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Frunză in the 81st minute of the match. Kacper Štilić got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. After a rather tough play, Rovine Craiova's Kacper Štilić got a free kick in the 85th minute. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jyrki Saarelainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jyrki Saarelainen in the 87th minute of play. Victor Negara didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Rafael Gallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Negara having to interfere. Peru played a much better game than Rovine Craiova and deserved their victory. The Rovine Craiova players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
