Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Liberland's Rene Eduino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Liberland from getting a goal against them. In the 10th match minute, Liberland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Ascencio to maneuver through the defense. After 12 minutes Liberland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Rene Eduino in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damaso Francho's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 32nd minute, Damaso Francho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rene Eduino made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, Damaso Francho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damaso Francho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 39th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Abeitia in the 43rd minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Francho in the 52nd minute of play. Rene Eduino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 55th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montenegro to fire away a dangerous shot which Rene Eduino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Saturnino Abeitia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damaso Francho got free with Julio Vera in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Although Ecuador had been in control for most of the match, Liberland still came away with the win.
