Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Costel Ţintă took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 2 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Zenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walter Zenga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Costel Ţintă sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Augustin Vergulescu scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. Walter Zenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Zenga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Costel Ţintă who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 31st minute of the match Scorpions -MM- got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dan Tinu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Ţintă in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Scorpions -MM- were awarded a corner. Dan Tinu went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 37thth minute of the game Felix Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scorpions -MM-'s Walter Zenga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Zenga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Alex Vrânceanu sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 46 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Walter Zenga made a huge save. After 57 played minutes Scorpions -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Mihuț. Scorpions -MM-'s Traian Uzuneanu was substituted for Augustin Vergulescu. Scorpions -MM- made a substitution. Octav Vătăşel replaced Dan Tinu. After a rather tough play, Scorpions -MM-'s Fabian Mihuț got a free kick in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walter Zenga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes, Scorpions -MM-'s Traian Uzuneanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Scorpions -MM- reached it. After 66 played minutes Scorpions -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Dorinel Munteanu. With a little luck, Scorpions -MM-'s Walter Zenga got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Zenga having to interfere. Walter Zenga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Zenga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Walter Zenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Zenga having to interfere. Walter Zenga was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 83 minute of play. In the 86th minute Traian Uzuneanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
