The supporters of Doug Zappa F.C. booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iwan Kolbe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frank Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iwan Kolbe having to make a save. In the 15th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Kolbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Frank Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, André Luís Alvarenga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Domingues in the 26th minute of play. Iwan Kolbe had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 37th match minute, Doug Zappa F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Doug Zappa F.C. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gustavo Favoretto hit a great ball. Frank Siqueira took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 60th minute Jonas Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mariano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Doug Zappa F.C. the free kick. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Domingues in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iwan Kolbe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 77th play minutes Jonas Domingues shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Iwan Kolbe in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 89 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. Doug Zappa F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
