Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Nesor came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hermengildo Nesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Nesor in the 17th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Rigoberto Mina put in a rough tackle. Sander Schaars placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Hermengildo Nesor took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 32 minutes into the game, Pascal Zegeling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Winthont FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Pascal Zegeling hit a great ball. Hermengildo Nesor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Winthont FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yağızalp Öznur in the 36th minute. Hermengildo Nesor might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hermengildo Nesor ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Nesor in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Yağızalp Öznur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Yağızalp Öznur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Fred Zandberg hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermengildo Nesor made a kick off. The supporters of Winthont FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermengildo Nesor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Nesor in the 56th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Hermengildo Nesor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Winthont FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Nesor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60thth minute of the game Hermengildo Nesor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermengildo Nesor in the 63rd minute. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Winthont FC's Sixto Gorbea was substituted for Hermengildo Nesor. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Sixto Gorbea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute Sixto Gorbea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sixto Gorbea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. After having played for 73 minutes, Sixto Gorbea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Winthont FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Gorbea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Gorbea, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sixto Gorbea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 0-3 in the 81 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixto Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Sixto Gorbea notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixto Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Winthont FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
