Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Honduras's Edmundo Espiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Diego Milito sent off a good shot on target. Deportivo Balvanera's Lisandro López got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute of the match Deportivo Balvanera got a corner. Honduras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marciano Koldobika ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Marciano Koldobika almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaac Dayam during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Honduras's Xavier Costa was substituted for Moises Tafalla. Isaac Dayam kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Balvanera's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Neron came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 23rd minute of play forced Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Abel Neron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Edmundo Espiga hit a great ball. After 26 minutes of play, Deportivo Balvanera's Diego Milito made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Taurino in the 30th minute of play. Esteban Carvallo charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteban Carvallo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Esteban Carvallo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 40 minutes, Adolfo Poz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Balvanera and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. 39 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo Balvanera:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Balvanera's goalie prevented a goal. In the 45th match minute, Deportivo Balvanera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Koldobika to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Milito made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Taurino in the 53rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Neron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 56th minute. Abel Neron didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute, Sebastian Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Milito in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Taurino in the 71st minute of play. Isaac Dayam made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. Abel Neron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Balvanera's Marciano Koldobika got a free kick in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Abel Neron had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. Diego Milito took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Deportivo Balvanera were victorious despite being under pressure from Honduras for much of the match.
