Joel Cristofor came out of the goal and Orlando Casaus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, John Skytt made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Skytt in the 9th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Björn-Torben Kappel in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chile's Gerardo Pozo. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Cristofor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Björn-Torben Kappel's late challenge caught a Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Skytt in the 32nd minute of the match. With his leg Thiago Pliego managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when NECKER49's Silvano Casanova fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Francisco Carballar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Cristofor having to make a save. When Francisco Carballar came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Carballar couldn't finish the play. When Damian Bernabel fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NECKER49's protests and gave Damian Bernabel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to NECKER49 getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Damian Bernabel hit a great ball. Joel Cristofor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when John Skytt made the kick off in the second half.
