After some careless play in the HHH defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hüsrev Yaşar. The HHH fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hüsrev Yaşar should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hüsrev Yaşar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Anıl Berk Erginay in the 51st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Hüsrev Yaşar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 93 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. Tolga Saye recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
