Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. After 12 minutes, Juan Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Sarandí Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sarandí Fútbol Club booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Raimundo Nardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sarandí Fútbol Club's Evaristo Nardo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Rene Estevon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes Sarandí Fútbol Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Tasis who took care of the corner kick. After having played for 28 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 31st minute of play forced Sarandí Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Rene Estevon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rene Estevon. Sarandí Fútbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Tasis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albino Santo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Urti in the 52nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sarandí Fútbol Club's Benjamin Berbiz. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Nardo in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. 72 minutes into the match, Sarandí Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Rene Estevon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Estevon saved Sarandí Fútbol Club from getting behind. After 75 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Albino Santo who took care of the corner kick. Rene Estevon made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Aaron Alcocer sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 86th minute of play forced Sarandí Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Rene Estevon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Belarmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Sarandí Fútbol Club's Rene Estevon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 96th minute of play. Aurelio Urti kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Sarandí Fútbol Club were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Costa Rica to leave the ground with a draw.
