After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Turo Raninen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karhulan Veikot's supporters rose to their feet, but Turo Raninen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tales Siqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the game, SeleSantos FC's Eurico Prestes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Pihkala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Aadolf Martikainen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tales Siqueira came out and tried to block the shot, but Aadolf Martikainen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SeleSantos FC's zone, Turo Raninen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tales Siqueira came out of the goal and Turo Raninen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
