The supporters of Coritiba Foot Ball Club booed when Olivedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thiago Machado got free with Armel Zettiņš in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute, Thiago Machado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Armel Zettiņš. The goal made the score 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thiago Machado in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armel Zettiņš prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Durval Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Valadares in the 19th minute of play. Thiago Machado struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Armel Zettiņš didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coritiba Foot Ball Club. Cacá Britovskiy came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Armel Zettiņš could save by the left post. After 66 minutes Olivedos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thor Machado who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Cacá Britovskiy heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Thiago Machado put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Armel Zettiņš. Armel Zettiņš stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Romero's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. The corner ended in Thiago Machado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Olivedos's Armel Zettiņš did a great save. Thiago Machado took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armel Zettiņš. Armel Zettiņš dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 85 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Romero came free, but Armel Zettiņš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Fausto Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armel Zettiņš saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's 胡亦旭 got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armel Zettiņš took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
