Juninho Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juninho Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maurício Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in LRCA Office Club's zone, Róbson Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Linhares came out of the goal and Róbson Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurício Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Garcia in the 10th minute of play. Austra 04 VFC were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after LRCA Office Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Evandro Vidal took the corner. Maurício Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Garcia in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Austra 04 VFC's Joaquim Batista got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Bruno de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Austra 04 VFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno de Castro couldn't finish the play. Austra 04 VFC's Kitt Pegov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Austra 04 VFC from getting a goal against them. Maurício Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Bertassi in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Garcia in the 31st minute of play forced LRCA Office Club's goalkeeper Maurício Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurício Linhares came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Austra 04 VFC's Róbson Garcia. But to his dismay, Róbson Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Austra 04 VFC's Edmundo da Silva got a free kick in the 39th minute. Kitt Pegov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juninho Rosa went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

LRCA Office Club made a substitution. Vitinho Vides replaced Amadeu Capixaba. When Vitinho Vides fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LRCA Office Club's protests and gave Vitinho Vides a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 minutes, Nuno Trigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LRCA Office Club and the Austra 04 VFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nuno Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Maurício Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbson Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmundo da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. LRCA Office Club's Nuno Trigo suffered a concussion in the 66th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 66 minutes into the game, Edmundo da Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Austra 04 VFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LRCA Office Club the free kick. LRCA Office Club's Josué Mangueira was substituted for Nuno Trigo. In the 68th match minute, Austra 04 VFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo da Silva to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, LRCA Office Club's goalkeeper Maurício Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Bertassi. Maurício Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Garcia in the 82nd minute of play. Austra 04 VFC's Rony Nunes was substituted for Téo de Salles. With his leg Maurício Linhares managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Austra 04 VFC's Róbson Garcia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luís Eduardo Quadros was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 89 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, LRCA Office Club's Luís Eduardo Quadros got a free kick in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the match, LRCA Office Club's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Vidal came free, but Maurício Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Rony Nunes took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Maurício Linhares to make any attempt to save it. Austra 04 VFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
