After a defensive mix-up in Karaboudjan's zone, Emilio Lain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson do Vale came out of the goal and Emilio Lain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Karaboudjan getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Kléberson Gomes hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Vítor Aparecido got free with Jefferson do Vale in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 15 played minutes Karaboudjan got a freekick which was hit by Luizão Peixoto. Emilio Lain received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jefferson do Vale came out and tried to block the shot, but Emilio Lain slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. Emilio Lain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rdth minute of the game José Vítor Aparecido who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karaboudjan's Jefferson do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Evaristo Tolino's late challenge caught a Braga Junior FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Tolino helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Braga Junior FC booed when Karaboudjan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the referee ended the match the Braga Junior FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
