Douglas Gerber started the match with the kick off. After 6 minutes, Hudson Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curiphila Eagles and the Olivedos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hudson Vale hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Oséias Arósio's late challenge caught a Olivedos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséias Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Curiphila Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséias Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Gerber came free, but Armel Zettiņš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edson Mendes in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murilo Paiva saved Curiphila Eagles from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's Douglas Gerber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armel Zettiņš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Valadares in the 28th minute of play forced Curiphila Eagles's goalkeeper Murilo Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Valadares in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Simões to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Antônio Carlos Valadares made a precise shot to the right of Murilo Paiva. Curiphila Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 46 minutes into the game, Douglas Gerber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Armel Zettiņš was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antônio Carlos Valadares to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Gerber came free, but Armel Zettiņš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59thth minute of the game Deivid Cavalcante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Murilo Paiva made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Edson Mendes sent off a good shot on target. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Curiphila Eagles from getting a goal against them. If Douglas Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nelsinho Bastos during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armel Zettiņš showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Gerber in the 78th minute of the match. Armel Zettiņš didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Douglas Gerber went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Ulysses Romero hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Murilo Paiva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Deivid Cavalcante showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 90 minute of play. Murilo Paiva made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Antônio Carlos Valadares sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Olivedos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
