Edmundo Lopes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilton de Amaral went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 9 minutes of play, Karaboudjan's Wilton de Amaral made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmundo Lopes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zé Augusto Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, FC Gustavo FPRMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luiz Furtado to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, FC Gustavo FPRMZ's Edmundo Lopes got control of the ball when Evaristo Tolino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filomeno Nicholas took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmundo Lopes. Edmundo Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After some careless play in the Karaboudjan defense, Sydney Maciel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elano Travassos. The Karaboudjan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elano Travassos should have stopped the shot. FC Gustavo FPRMZ's Edmundo Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Nicholas in the 44th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Karaboudjan got a freekick which was hit by Almir da Fonseca. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Edmundo Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Tolino in the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Tolino in the 53rd minute of play forced FC Gustavo FPRMZ's goalkeeper Edmundo Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Aílton Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmundo Lopes was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Elano Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Zé Augusto Brasil made a precise shot to the right of Edmundo Lopes. FC Gustavo FPRMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. In the 80th minute Filomeno Nicholas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
